The Personal Touch

January 3, 2006

What a week it has been!
- 2006 has arrived.
- I have become another year older and possibly wiser.
- Sydney experienced it's hottest New Years Day on record -
44C (113F)
- I purchased our tickets to Nepal - we really are going!

The most exciting thing has been putting the finishing
touches on my new e-book "Don't Just Dream It ... Do It".
Stay tuned .... I will be making a special offer to my
subscribers before the book is officially launched on the
website.

It was interesting to note this week how many people sent
me an SMS (text message) on my birthday. It was lovely to
receive the birthday wishes and to be thought of but the
fact that I didn't get to personally connect to the people
I care about made me a little sad. I didn't get to ask how
they were, wish them a happy new year and simply enjoy a
short conversation.

In a world full of technology that makes our lives easier,
more productive, more efficient and so forth it is
important that we don't lose the personal touch. This week
when you sit down to write an email or send an SMS just
take a moment to consider whether it would be better to
pick up the phone or walk to the next office to deliver
your message in person.

Have an inspiring week!
