Memory Lane

November 22, 2005

Firstly - a thank you to one of our subscribers, Austin,
who wrote to me this week wondering where my November
article is - great to know you are enjoying the articles
Austin and that I am being kept accountable to my promise
:)
For any one else wondering where November's article is
hiding here is my response to Austin:

"Hi Austin

glad you have been enjoying my articles! Yes - I still need
one to submit an article for the month of November -
luckily there are still 9 days left in the month :)

I have been asked to submit an article to the ICFA
(International Coach Federation Australasia)newsletter
about confidence and new coaches - as you know this is
something I am very interested in. They need the article by
the end of the month so I am still committed to a November
article - promise to send a link."

Well, after 5 months of intense renovating my husband and I
are moving to our new home this weekend.
There are no ceiling lights yet, possibly no hot water but
there will be beautifully painted walls, polished floors
and a lot of satisfaction in how much we have accomplished
so far.

In order to keep up the weekly inspirations and maintain my
sanity during the move I decided it would be great to take
a trip down memory lane for the next 3 weeks ... back to
the time when 'a2a Inspirations' first began.
a2a coaching did not even have a website at that time and
the weekly email was managed via Outlook. As we have many
subscribers who have joined since that time it will be
great to go back to where it all began.

So enjoy this trip down memory lane ....

Memory Lane #1 (14th June 2004)

" Courage is not the absence of fear. It is doing what it
takes despite one's fear"

Who said this? I have no idea! I read it one day, wrote it
on a piece of paper and for five years it has been stuck on
my wall. Regardless of where I have lived it has been
placed somewhere I will see it every day.

It reminds me that everyone experiences fear and it is how
you deal with the fear that makes the difference. Fear of
the unknown, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of
humiliation and so on. This quote inspires me to
acknowledge my fear and then take a deep breath and take
action anyway.

Some of the greatest experiences in my life have come from
doing the things I was most afraid of.

If you are holding back on doing something because you are
afraid I challenge you to take one step towards it anyway -
you never know what wonderful experience you might be
missing out on.

Have an inspiring week!
