___________________________________________________________

This week I began reading "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon
Hill - first published in 1937 this book has stood the test
of time as an inspirational book.

I am reading a chapter on Desire where it says "There is a
difference between wishing for a thing and being ready to
receive it. No one is ready for a thing until he believes
he can acquire it. The state of mind must be belief, not
mere hope or wish."

How true this is ... I can think of many examples in my own
life where this has been reflected.

* When I was single and 'wished' for a new relationship it
didn't happen. However once I stopped focusing on 'wishing'
and just focused on my own happiness I ended up meeting
someone wonderful.

* In jobs/career it has been reflected in times I wanted a
pay rise or to get a new job. 'Wishing' didn't get me
anywhere but shifting my mental perspective to one that had
only room for success did wonders.

Is there something in life you are "wishing" for right now?
More money, a relationship, a new house, new job ..... ???
What do you need in order to shift your state of mind to a
state of belief?

To finish this week I want to leave you with a poem also
found in "Think and Grow Rich":

" I bargained with Life for a penny
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store.

For Life is just an employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.

I worked for menial's hire,
only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have willingly paid. "

Have an inspiring week!
