I do, I do, I do.

January 31, 2005

I sat down with my fiance on the weekend to start writing
our wedding vows.
To be perfectly honest I hadn't really thought about what I
wanted to write - I had no preconceived ideas on what a
wedding vow should look like.
We both spent some time writing our own vows and then
shared them with each other. The nicest part of this was
having a glimpse of what each of us value in our
relationship, what we treasure. It was so touching to share
this with each other now - not just on our wedding day.

It made me think about the fact we often don't express that
level of thought and emotion with the ones we love. We
might say "I love you" but do we stop to describe how and
why? Not very often.
How wonderful would it feel to actually tell someone you
care about just what an amazing person they are? To
describe in detail how great your life is because you know
them?
This doesn't just apply to romantic relationships. Share
with friends and family too.

I love the fact I will tell my fiance these things on our
wedding day but I am committed to telling him more often
than that.

Take time this week to tell someone special what a
wonderful impact they have on your life. You will both feel
great!

Have an inspiring week!
