Don't wait until tomorrow ....

January 10, 2005

Welcome back and Happy New Year!

I must admit it feels like an eternity since I sat down to
write 'a2a Inspirations'. I had a relaxing Xmas/New Year
camping by the beach in National Parks with my fiance. I
enjoyed being away from TV's, mobile phones, computers and
traffic. I loved walking on the beach, being woken by the
birds and watching kangaroos graze on the grass around the
camp at breakfast time.

The Xmas/New Year period was heavily impacted, however, by
the unfolding Tsunami disaster. I was grateful not to have
a TV as the news reports each day on our radio made me want
to cry. I could not comprehend the enormous scale of death
and destruction. I know several people who have lost family
or friends but what upset me the most was the loss of life
and infrastructure for all the local communities.

So what in this could I possibly find inspiring?
I am inspired by the courage of all who have survived.
I am inspired by the out pouring of support from around the
world.
I am inspired by the locals who have already begun
rebuilding their villages from whatever materials they can
find in the rubble.

On a personal level I am inspired to have an amazing year.
The Tsunami is a sharp reminder that life cannot be taken
for granted. I am committed to make the most of
opportunities and to go out and take bold steps forward.

If there is something you want to do ... DO IT!
If there is something you want to change ... CHANGE IT!
If there is somewhere you want to be ... GO THERE!!
Don't wait until tomorrow.

Life is precious. Make a commitment to make the most of it
in 2005.

Have an inspiring week!
