Do you spend enough time dreaming?
By this I don't mean are you getting enough sleep ... I am talking about wakeful dreaming, allowing your mind to explore what you might like to do in the future that does not currently seem possible.
Many people struggle to dream as they get too bogged down in the question of "but how?".
Dream: I would like to travel the world for a year ... BUT HOW take time off work and not lose my job?
Dream: I would like to have a photographic business ... BUT HOW would I pay bills while I was getting it going?
Dream: I would like to live by the ocean ... BUT HOW could I afford that?
"BUT HOW" stifles our capacity to dream. The need to answer this question stops us from really exploring the full expanse of ideas and dreams that excite us, in turn it makes it hard to ever pursue our dreams because we are not allowing ourselves to have them.
So what should you do?
Once you have allowed your dreams to be fleshed out more fully in your mind it is so much easier to see HOW. Even if 100% of the dream cannot be realised the 70% you can see HOW to achieve is probably a lot more than if you had never created space for the dream in the first place ... so what do you have to lose?
