If you’re feeling like life is way too chaotic and there is always something else you should be doing, take a step back! Try these tips to help find the calm in the chaos:
1. Have a schedule health check
If that inner pleaser of yours keep saying yes when you secretly want to say no, it is time to have stern words! If you find that you're taking on too much, it's time to go over your schedule and drop what needs to go. You don’t have to say yes to everything – just practice saying no to little things so you can give yourself a manageable schedule.
2. Get organised.
When your life feels out of whack, now is the time to become friends with your inner organiser. Think about areas of your life where you are organised – what works and what can you replicate else where?
3. Plan a getaway.
Do you need to get away from it all? Plan a mini break or even a night off if you're short of time. The point is that you need to make some time for yourself and unwind.
4. Pace yourself.
One way to manage chaos in a healthy way is to properly pace yourself. You need to preserve your energy so you can make it through the day. Focus on one task at a time multi-tasking when life is chaotic doesn’t help!
5. Give your mind some time out.
Consider going to a yoga class or trying meditation to help you achieve a peaceful mindset.
6. Make peace with chaos.
Sometimes in life stuff happens, and fighting what is can be a bigger drain on our energy. Learning to make peace with it can sometimes be easier than going against the tide.
Do what you can to simplify your life. Even a small effort can help you in a big way - for you and for those you love.
